Tonight we took another step forward in Icecrown with killing Blood-queen Lana'thel. From the first try we were clearly on good form. She bit the dust on the second attempt of the night. This week also brought some new bosses (yay). We moved onto the Frostwing Halls where we met Valithria Dreamwalker who apparently is in need of a hug. We had some great attempts with a late 99% wipe. Thanks to everyone who stayed way past the raid end. We will be back on Monday for our loots and then we can get to work on Sindragosa.

Ater yet more lag problems this week preventing us trying Putricide we came back on Monday night recharged and ready to kick some butt. First pull we were back in phase 3 where we left off last week. Still lacking a bit of dps to beat the enrage timer we tweaked the positioning a bit to help out our melee. It definitely made the difference as we killed him on the second pull :) Definitely the most fun and challenging fight we have met in Icecrown so far. Excellent effort by everyone. Next up are the Blood Princes and Blood-Queen Lana'thel. Strats are on the forums now so time to read up and get ready for some more new kills this week.

Following some server problems at Saurfang holding us up we moved on into the Citadel. After some rather fun trash and patting Stinky and Precious on the head we got to work on Festergut. After only a couple of tries Uncle Fester had breathed his last stinky breath. So we moved onto Rotface. Some of us had seen this fight earlier on 10-man. We knew what to expect, slime.. and lots of it! After a few attempts everyone seemed to get the hang of it and soon enough Rotface was face down in a pool of his own filth. Well done to all. We have made a great start in this wing and had some good tries on Putricide last night. Keep it up!

A long and overdue boss kill finally resulted with Covenant downing Algalon The Observer in 25 man Ulduar. With a 1 hour weekly lock out in effect it took a lot of co-ordination and efficient effort from our raiders to earn themselves the title Astral Walker. Previous raids had always been attempted with less than full and optimal setup, but once we had a full strength raid there the boss was made to delay his ascension to the heavens.

Heroic Beasts of Northrend |
|
Monday, 14 September 2009 |
After a couple of hours of attempts Heroic Beasts of Northrend [25] were downed by Covenant on September 14th. It's been quite a few quite a few tumultuous months for the guild, with a 1 -2 month raiding hiatus during the summer to get ourselves back on track and the fun back into the game. We've spent the last couple of months on gearing recruits in Ulduar and getting a few hard modes down, so last nights kill was certainly an important milestone for the guild. Great fight, made good progress on just about every attempt. Had a few frustrating wipes on Icehowl due to tramples, but in the end everything just clicked and we got him down in good order with 24 men still standing (killshot and loot after the break). Hopefully more exciting news and updates to follow soon!

Even the servant of an old God couldn't stand up to the combined efforts of the members of Covenant. General Vezax was crushed like the insect he is with only a day and a half of attempts, well done everyone who was involved... Now only the tentacles of Yogg-Saron himself stand between Covenant and the complete purging of all corruption in Ulduar!

After a week of some hard raiding disrupted by new patch woes we have all cleared well over half of ulduar! 2 slow days at the start hounded by disconnects and server restarts lead us to killing only one boss a day, but after that we killed 2 bosses, 2 bosses, and 3 bosses each day respectively! Next week should prove an interesting week for us once we get in there and kick some ass!

Sarth + Buddies given some playground justice |
|
Friday, 09 January 2009 |
After the Christmas period break, we decided to go take hit Sartharion and his 3 buddies, after a few days of working out the kinks we got our kill, even fighting the additional boss of the lag monster couldn't stop us as we got faster and faster and more controlled, leading to a great kill, even though we lost a few early on. I think everyone can agree, its great to get a truly challenging kill in Wrath.
